Yoga is cool. Bendy body babes, chilled vibes and extremely comfortable pants.
By now though, I think we all know there's more to it than the stretchy stuff you see in the gym, right?
Yoga is a philosophy, designed to improve quality of life. Part of that is knowing how to respect your body and make the most of it. Even those who don't go into the "spiritual stuff" will tell you that you get much more from yoga than a workout.
Here's what you don't know about yoga until you start:
1) Yoga is actually about breathing.
2) You really don't have to be flexible to do it. At all. You'll get there.
3) But... even the "easy" poses will introduce you to parts of your body you've never even heard of.
4) 5 minutes of yoga can change your whole day. You instantly feel your mood lift.
5) Yoga makes you really strong. Mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, whatever. Strong.
6) You can literally do yoga anywhere, anytime. Even in the shower.
7) There are very few problems that yoga can't solve.
8) Once you learn the moral values of yoga, you basically get a life skills upgrade.
9) Yoga makes you want to be healthier. Imagine.
10) Happiness is as simple as lying flat on your back, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath.
